Panjabi Style Chole From Sneha's Kitchen
INGREDIENTS:
Kabuli Chana 150 gms.
Baking soda 1/2 tsp
Tea bag 1 (if you don't have tea bag then take a white cotton cloth and tie 1tlsp tea into it)
Tomato 2
Green chilli 3-4
Ginger 1"
white oil
Hing
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Whole garam masala ( cimamom stick, cardamom , clove )
Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Salt
METHOD:
At first , wash the channa and soak it for 7-8 hrs in water.
Then, boil them in the cooker with water, salt and baking soda. Also put a tea bag in the cooker. Close the lid and let it boil for upto 2 - 4 whistles.
After that , Make a smooth paste of tomato, chilli and ginger .
Then , Heat oil in a kadai and tamper the cumin seeds , whole garam masala and hing in it. Then put the sliced onion and fry. Next add cumin powder , coriander powder ,salt and red chilli powder into the pan. Roast the masala and add tomato paste. Roast the masala until the oil starts out .
Then put the boiled channa into the curry and mix well . Cook it for 2-3 minutes .
Finally add garam masala powder and mixed well.
SERVE: Chole is ready to serve with hot Bhatura.
